PERSPECTIVE NOOK

Into the New Year
I'm not generally a person who does new year's resolutions, but I am a person who believes in the universe. Speaking what you want into existence. My mom used to say, "surround yourself in light and love," which hasn't exactly been my M.O. this past year. Money struggles, moving away from home, moving back home, and having lost myself with past experiences, has led me to not feel the greatest. I'm here to share my top three wants out of 2026. Enjoy! First off, I'm speaking (m

The Gaylord ICE Exhibit
So, a couple years ago, my mom and I visited the Gaylord hotel in Texas. We went for a specific reason, ICE! That year, I think 2017/2018 was featuring a Charlie Brown Christmas. We were blown away. Enjoy! We had seen a few commercials about this event and decided this year to go. The Gaylord is such a massive, fancy, and ridiculously expensive hotel. (Hence, we stayed in a hotel in the area.) With it being so huge, it's also a bit of a maze. Once inside, we explored a little

Thanksgiving of 21'
You may know from many moons ago, my mom and I were caregivers for my grandparents. My nana passed in 2019 and my grandad in 2021. As many people who have been caregivers, lost a family member (pets included) can attest to, the holidays can be very difficult when you are going through the grieving process. I'm here to share how my mom and I got through these times after major losses. Thanksgiving Day before: As a lot of Thanksgiving's are filled with, ours consisted of cookin

Psychic or Coincidence?
Hey guys! My mom and nana always said I have special abilities. They believed if I honed my skills in the supernatural, I could become the next Theresa Caputo, (Psychic Medium) since they (and me eventually) are into the paranormal. As you may have read, (I believe in ghosts' part 1 and 2) I saw ghosts as a young child. Throughout my life I have stopped seeing spirits, but something has always remained, my ability to sense things before they happen. Here's some stories and th

Halloween Decoration....
I have a funny bite size story for you guys today. This is a moment I remember vividly. Enjoy! As many children are, I was super impressionable when I was young. You couldn't say things willy, nilly like, "Hope we don't blow away," when a thunderstorm was happening. I would take that to heart, and a new fear would be unlocked. (This example was a real expression my nana used during a bad thunderstorm.) On to the Halloween aspect of our story. My mom and I would go all out for

Halloween Horror Nights...
Hey everyone! Hope you're having a good week so far. We're in mid-October now (only 16 more days until Halloween, if you celebrate.) I haven't been to Halloween Horror Nights yet this year. With this on my mind, I thought of some stories I'd like to share with you. I went to a unique version of Halloween Horror Nights (HHN for short) towards the end of Covid-19. They didn't have HHN that year, these were the only two houses, no special event ticket required. I love gore/horro
