Halloween Horror Nights...

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a good week so far. We're in mid-October now (only 16 more days until Halloween, if you celebrate.) I haven't been to Halloween Horror Nights yet this year. With this on my mind, I thought of some stories I'd like to share with you.
I went to a unique version of Halloween Horror Nights (HHN for short) towards the end of Covid-19. They didn't have HHN that year, these were the only two houses, no special event ticket required. I love gore/horror movies, but haunted houses aren't always my first choice. At that time, Universal only had two haunted houses, Revenge of the Tooth Fairy and The Bride of Frankenstein Lives. When I say unique, I mean there was Plexi glass between you and the scare actors (perfect for me.) Literally, I go through haunted houses buried in my mom's back, shaking like a leaf the entire time. I'm the "middle of the line going in" type of person. You may be wondering, "Then why do you go in them?" My answer, "The adrenaline and rush you get coming out of them." That nervous but excited feeling. I want to tell you more about these houses.
The Bride of Frankenstein Lives is one of my favorite houses HHN has done. This house's story is chilling. Frankenstein's monster has died, and she wants to bring him back. As you entered this house, you were faced with the bride crying hysterically over her dead significant others corpse and plotting how she'll restore his life. (This scene was mesmerizing.) You're then taken through dark hallways, scenes of her harvesting organs and blood, the smell of burning wood surrounds you, while ethereal like monsters swooping in right beside you. We finally find she has enough to resurrect him, and they are reunited once more.
Next, was Revenge of the Tooth Fairy, which was incredibly creepy and very loud. There were pages hovering above you as you entered this house. They were telling you the story how the Tooth Fairy's (or fairies') revenge came to be. The gore of this house had me floored. I especially remember a bed scene, the bed facing the window, canopy on it and a dummy was laying there. (Nothing suspicious here........right? WRONG!!) A scare actor came from the middle of the bed, screaming. I didn't want to walk past him. This house gave me that eerie feeling every time I went in. (My mom and I went in these houses quite often.)
I've been Halloween Horror Nights a few more times since these experiences. Some of my favorites are Stranger Things 4, Bride of Frankenstein Lives (of course), Bloodmoon Dark offerings, Beetlejuice, and YETI: Campground Kills. Universal always knows how to scare the s**t out of you. The makeup, scare zones, scare actors, costumes, and sets are utterly fantastic and bring all the scariest moments to life. How about you, have you been to HHN? What was your favorite house? Which part of the line do you stand in? Let me know down below. Until next time. Bye!
