Happy October 1st everyone! Spooky season has officially started. The Halloween or fall decorations are up, fall drinks and food are everywhere, and cooler weather is approaching. (Soon hopefully!) With these events come scary and paranormal stories. Here I am to bring you some. Enjoy!
I have a few supernatural stories from my childhood. Some I remember and some my mom has told me. My first is the latter. So, the first house I remember living in, my mom, and I reference as the "the hole." This house was very small, so small that my mom slept in the living room on a pull-out couch and I in the tiny bedroom. As my mom recalls, I was playing in the bathtub and asked for some spoons to toy with. She walked to the kitchen, grabbed the spoons, and as she was returning, she heard me giggling up a storm. She asked, "Sydney (insert middle name) what are you laughing about?" And I told her, "I was playing with Sookie." She got full body chills. Sookie was her great grandmother and someone who had sadly passed before I was even a glimmer. But there I am, playing and laughing with Sookie thinking nothing of it.
Next story comes from that same house. My mom had the screen door open on a nice day. We were sitting on the couch in the living room watching TV. My mother noticed I'm staring at the screen door just smiling away. She asks me who I'm smiling at. I respond, "Pawpaw." With goosebumps, she asks, "Well, what's Pawpaw doing?" I reply, "He says he's just watching over us." Another set of full body chills again, she looks at the door, seeing no one, and says, "Hi Pawpaw." As in the story above, this is someone I had never met nor heard any stories about. He was married to my great, great grandmother, Sookie.
My mom still gets chills when she recalls these stories btw. I have many more experiences that solidify my and my mom's belief in ghosts and the paranormal. These were just a couple from our time at this house. We moved out of there when I was three years old, but the experiences followed us to our new home. Stick around to hear those stories. Until next time. Bye!
Lesson Learned: The ones we love, never truly leave us. :)
