Halloween Decoration....

I have a funny bite size story for you guys today. This is a moment I remember vividly. Enjoy!

As many children are, I was super impressionable when I was young. You couldn't say things willy, nilly like, "Hope we don't blow away," when a thunderstorm was happening. I would take that to heart, and a new fear would be unlocked. (This example was a real expression my nana used during a bad thunderstorm.)

On to the Halloween aspect of our story. My mom and I would go all out for Halloween. We would "host" (I guess?) trick or treaters in our neighborhood out of our carport. There were ghosts, spider webs, graveyards, skeletons, lights, and a particular head on a spike. (You see where this is going.) My grandparents and childhood best friend would come over all dressed up and festivities would begin!

Ok, with said head on spike, my nana, jokingly, told me to behave or the head was going to get me. I became terrified of this fake, plastic head on a spike for YEARS after that. I would see it and shudder. I literally couldn't even walk past it, for fear that it would breathe to life and come chasing after me. Of course, you guessed it, it never did. I eventually did get over this and was able to touch this decoration, put it together, and even laugh about it now. Until next time. Bye!

Lesson Learned: Halloween decorations don't generally come to life, unless in a movie or they're possessed.
