Wrapped around my finger....

Here's another bite-size story. This one is from my middle school days. Hope you enjoy!
A little back story, my middle school was at the end of a street. My school had its own little cul-de-sac. Parents were able to go around the circle and drop off/pick up their kids. Teachers would call your name on a megaphone, when your parents pulled around, and you would be loaded into your car. This particular day I was being picked up by my dad. He was dropping me off at my mom's work afterwards.
On to the story. I was wearing my favorite scarf at the at the time. Blue, sparkly, with little fringes hanging off. There I stood, waiting for my dad's car to pull around. I was fidgeting with my scarf, twirling and untwirling it around my index finger. Until....hmmmm.... this scarf is not untwirling. Stuck wrapped around my finger it was. I tried and tried but it would NOT budge! Finally, my dad's pulled up and I was loaded in.
I told my dad what happened, he could clearly see it was tight on my finger. He attempted to cut my finger free with a clicked work pen. (There were no scissors in his car.) He tried his best, but I only ended up with black pen marks all over my finger and a blue finger...Wait, a blue finger? Yep, my finger was now turning blue. We both began to panic.
Thank goodness, we were so close to my mom's work. Now my finger was my numb, but we made it in the nick of time! She was shocked at the state of my finger then cut the atrocious scarf off me. The feeling and color came back slowly; my relief came much quicker. My index finger is happy and healthy. I am reminded of this story, (by my mom) anytime I put a hair tie or something tight around my finger or wrist though. I love a stupid, funny story. Hope to hear yours. Until next time, Bye!
