The Citrus Tower

The Citrus Tower is located in the hilly and beautiful Clermont Florida. Originally, this 360-degree observation deck, which allows you to see 35 miles in all directions, overlooked scores of citrus groves. These citrus groves are now replaced by a bustling city, but this historic piece remains. Initially owned by a man named Ralph Harper, construction of this tower began in 1955 and opened in 1956.

At the "bottom" of the tower, there's an adorable coffee shop. Perfectly named, Citrus Tower coffee. Now, riding up to the panoramic views' costs $11 per adult and lower for children and seniors. You'll pay for this at the coffee bar and can also get yourself a drink. Once you have your tickets, you ride the elevator with an employee. There are beautiful murals all throughout the lift. Some of the rolling citrus groves that once were, and facts about the tower. Once at the top, it's OH and AH worthy! There are built in tables with stools that wrap the entirety of the top level. Lakes, hills, houses, shops, even Disney World! Seeing Clermont in the sky is surreal. Warning though, they do close the deck in thunderstorms. (Thank goodness, I'm not here to get struck by lightning!)
Overall, the Citrus Tower is an experience I recommend. If you're coming to Florida to go off the beaten path, give this a try! Until Next Time. Bye!
P.S. You can even watch Disney FIREWORKS from the tower. I can't wait to do that!
