Clermont Fish House

Today's story is about the Clermont Fish House; a fun and delicious restaurant located on Hwy 50. I highly recommend going here whether you're visiting or just live in the area. Enjoy!

The first time we visited the Fish House, was when we first moved to Clermont around late 2022 early 2023. We've been going back ever since! The exterior is very British with a red telephone booth converted into a small library and the British flag splayed across the door and windows. (You can't miss it!) Even the owners are Brits. The inside fits the outside, with double decker buses, caricatures of Margaret Thatcher, Cadbury/marmite snacks, soccer on, wait staff with Ted Lasso on their shirts, and of course the menu. From fish and chips to a scotch egg, to bangers and mash, to soup, mushy peas, and even chicken tenders, you can find the whole lot here. As well as their signature sticky toffee pudding which is pure sweetness!

Now for the fun activities this eating establishment has to offer. They have trivia nights, and music bingo hosted by the owners. The trivia nights are a blast, with our first being Harry Potter then 80's trivia. The music bingo was great as well, singing along to your favorite music, surrounded by lighthearted, rowdy people is my definition of a great time! Of course, you have your winners and your losers. The prizes usually consist of a trophy, candy, and such. What's also nice, is that the trivia area and regular dining area are somewhat separated by a small wall. If you wanted to partake in trivia, you need to call and make a reservation.

The vibes are always so much fun at the Clermont Fish House and the food is so good! We love their scotch egg, grilled Mahi Mahi, clam chowder, and fish and chips. Hope you check out the Fish House and let me know what you think down below. Until next time. Bye!
