NO SPOILERS!!!!

So, this is going to be a bite size edition. I'm also going to geek out a smidge. On Saturday, my mom, boyfriend, and I saw Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle. (Bless you.) Enjoy!

If you're not familiar, Demon Slayer is a manga and anime series. This movie is the first (technically second) of three (technically four) and premiered in theaters (in America) on Friday September 12th. My boyfriend showed me this series in early to mid 2024. I am a series watcher and have not read the Mangas as of yet. The cliffhanger of season 5 was CRIMINAL, so this movie was highly anticipated. So much so, that it broke records, opening to $70 million in North America alone as well as breaking records at the global box office. One downside, this movie is only in theaters for a short time, but you can preorder tickets which helps.

Three Musketeers!

On to the movie experience, I could not recommend seeing it in theaters more. The seats shaking from the surround sound during fight scenes made you giggle in astonishment. A few things I will say about the movie itself is, Zenitsu truly does get AWESOME with a capital AHHHH and there is a good amount of backstory for a few characters. In my opinion there could have been less backstory and more action, I believe I understand what the directors were going for and appreciate the aspect and consistency. I am a huge fan of action and gore, so you may come away with a differing outlook. I don't want to spoil this movie for anyone, so that's all I'll say.

If you haven't tried watching this anime series, it's worth a watch! It can be found on streaming services like Netflix and Crunchyroll. I also recommend watching in its native language Japanese with English subtitles. This show truly does have so much emotion amid the fighting and blood. Until next time. Bye!

Fun Fact: Channing Tatum voiced Keizo in the English dubbed version.
